Nina Christine Andersen-Ranberg
Junior Doctor, Post. Doc., Ph.d.Engaged in research in intensive care with a focus on prevention and treatment of delirium and its sequelae. Co-investigator in all clinical intervention trials at the intensive care department. Our department is part of the international research network CRIC, that seek to create evidence for some of the most frequent interventions we practice in the intensive care unit.
Martin Vedel Nielsen
Junior Doctor, ph.d. studentIn my Ph.D. study, we have developed a completely new ultrasound-guided blockade type (the costotransverse block) specifically for (peri) postoperative analgesic treatment for significant breast cancer surgeries. The blockade exploits the positive effects of the thoracic paravertebral blockade but with a much smaller risk profile. Our opinion is that our new blocking is faster, safer, and easier to learn – and we hope that the technique can be quickly adapted in everyday life nationally and internationally.
Asger Krog Mølgaard
Junior Doctor, ph.d StudentInvestigates glucocorticoids’ short-term effect on the immunological response the body mounts after total knee arthroplasty and the long-term impact on chronic knee pain.

Caroline Anna Sofia Humble
Junior Doctor, ph.d. studentEngaged in research in shock-induced endothelial cell damage (SHINE) and its interaction with the inflammatory response in critically ill intensive care patients. Actively participate in all clinical intervention trials in intensive care, where we, as part of a national collaboration (CRIC), seek to create evidence for some of the most frequent interventions we practice in the intensive care unit.

Anne Sofie Nautrup Therkelsen
Junior Doctor, ph.d studentMy primary focus is to optimise postoperative pain management for patients undergoing breast cancer surgery. By a multimodal approach consisting of systemic analgesics and nerve blockades, we aim to establish the foundation for an early rehabilitative period with minimal pain and minimise the dependence on postoperative opioid treatment.
